A nice public course. Some difficulty but well maintained, and fun to play.

I played in the Fall of 2007 and at that time the bunkers were in need of upgrading. As a matter of fact, they were being worked on while I was there. Hopefully they have continued to work on them. They were imporving the bunker in front of #2 at the time I played it. Basically the bunkers were on a par for the area. However they could be improved by replacement of the sand.

Found this nice local rolling links layout 30 minutes from the house and decided for $20 w/cart (Senior) I'd give it a shot. Playing from the tips 3,124 Front 9 / 3,032 Back 9 came in at 6,156yds / 69.1 / 115 / Par 72 made it a real fun 2.5 hour loop on a sunny morning. Fairways were mowed with good fairway identification and the rough being long enough to hide the ball but still able to go after it and hit it clean. The greens were in the best shape I've seen on courses twice the price and NOT ONE blemish to be found anywhere, rolling at 7-8. Sand traps were a little hard but giving it rained hard yesterday, that's ok. (They raked up fairly fluffy) Had the standard yardage sticks down the center and no GAM markers/blocks to pace off the par 3 yardages, that could be improved in this area. Course filled up by 9am and for the prices offered, I could see why. Shot 35/41 w/ 30 putts as having 4 save on the front and none on the back made the difference. No real hole stands out but #12 Par 3 that was playing to 200yds on a gum drop green on the top of the hill made hitting and staying very tough. Worth stopping and playing if you're in the I-94 / I-69 intersection looking for a challenging, fun and good conditioned course for a low price.
